Pour l&#039;\u00c9quipe Sant\u00e9 du Centre-Ouest de l&#039;Ontario (\u00c9SC), c&#039;est une excellente occasion de reconna\u00eetre le r\u00f4le important des femmes dans le maintien de notre syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9. Qu&#039;elles soient travailleuses de premi\u00e8re ligne, travailleuses de soutien, professionnelles de la sant\u00e9 ou dirigeantes, chacune d&#039;elles joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans notre engagement envers les soins de sant\u00e9 et l&#039;\u00e9quit\u00e9 en sant\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Impact et in\u00e9galit\u00e9s des femmes dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les femmes dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9 repr\u00e9sentent un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel du secteur. Leur expertise, leur d\u00e9vouement et leur engagement sont essentiels \u00e0 la prestation de soins de haute qualit\u00e9 aux patients. Les points saillants ci-dessous illustrent l&#039;importance de leur travail \u00e0 travers l&#039;histoire, mais aussi les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s qui persistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Histoire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>En 1875, le Dr Emily Stowe est devenue la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/women-gender-equality\/commemorations-celebrations\/women-impact\/stem\/emily-howard-stowe.html\">premi\u00e8re femme \u00e0 pratiquer la m\u00e9decine au Canada<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>En 1932, le Dr Elizabeth Bagshaw a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2352013217303563\">premi\u00e8re clinique de contr\u00f4le des naissances \u00e0 Hamilton<\/a>, malgr\u00e9 la criminalisation des pratiques de contr\u00f4le des naissances \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>En 1974, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdnmedhall.ca\/laureates\/bettestephenson\">Dr Bette Stephenson<\/a> Elle est devenue la premi\u00e8re femme \u00e9lue pr\u00e9sidente de l&#039;Association m\u00e9dicale de l&#039;Ontario. Elle a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re femme \u00e0 si\u00e9ger au conseil d&#039;administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, les mouvements dirig\u00e9s par les femmes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2352013217303563\">\u00e9largi le champ de pratique des infirmi\u00e8res praticiennes<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Paysage actuel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les femmes repr\u00e9sentent environ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cihi.ca\/en\/health-workforce-in-canada-overview\">75% des professionnels de sant\u00e9 r\u00e9glement\u00e9s<\/a>, dont 90% d&#039;infirmi\u00e8res (2023).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Malgr\u00e9 une repr\u00e9sentation croissante dans la population active, les femmes n&#039;occupent qu&#039;environ <a href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/n1\/pub\/89-28-0001\/2022001\/article\/00002-eng.htm\">30% de tous les postes de direction (2021)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bmcmededuc.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s12909-024-05071-4\">La proportion de femmes en m\u00e9decine \u00e9volue progressivement<\/a>:En 2022-2023, environ 53% des dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s des \u00e9coles de m\u00e9decine \u00e9taient des femmes, mais seulement 42% des m\u00e9decins actifs sont des femmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reconna\u00eetre les r\u00e9alisations des femmes dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 n\u00e9cessite de travailler pour continuer \u00e0 progresser, notamment en mettant en lumi\u00e8re les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s auxquelles les femmes sont encore confront\u00e9es sur le march\u00e9 du travail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notre engagement collectif<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le CW OHT s\u2019engage \u00e0 promouvoir l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 entre les sexes, \u00e0 soutenir le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel et \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre le travail de nos diverses organisations partenaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment vous pouvez soutenir<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Soutenir le mentorat<\/strong>:Consacrez du temps au mentorat ou \u00e0 la prise de contact avec d\u2019autres professionnels de la sant\u00e9 pour renforcer la communaut\u00e9 des soins de sant\u00e9 des femmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Devenez un d\u00e9fenseur<\/strong>:Apprenez et partagez des informations sur les probl\u00e8mes des femmes pour accro\u00eetre la sensibilisation et conduire le changement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Valoriser les voix f\u00e9minines<\/strong>:Rechercher activement des opportunit\u00e9s de leadership et remettre en question les situations in\u00e9quitables sur le lieu de travail.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ressources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/women-gender-equality\/commemorations-celebrations\/womens-history-month.html\">Gouvernement du Canada \u2013 Mois de l&#039;histoire des femmes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianwomen.org\/\">Fondation canadienne des femmes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cihi.ca\/en\/health-workforce-in-canada-overview\">Statistiques sur la main-d&#039;\u0153uvre en sant\u00e9 au Canada<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalhealthcanada.com\/women-leaders-digital-health-award-winners\/\">Femmes leaders dans la sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mentorat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/fmwc.ca\/\">F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des femmes m\u00e9decins du Canada<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cwhha.ca\/learn-mentoring-program\">Mentorat pour les futurs chercheurs en sant\u00e9<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/deptmedicine.utoronto.ca\/mentorship\">Universit\u00e9 de Toronto \u2013 Programme de mentorat du D\u00e9partement de m\u00e9decine<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October marks Women&#8217;s History Month in Canada, which represents a time to celebrate the contributions and achievements of women today and across history.
