When to call the Nurse Practitioner

  • COVID
  • Fever and/or chills
  • Breathing difficulties
  • New or worse cough
  • Chest congestion
  • Decreased LOC and lethargy
  • New onset confusion and delirium
  • Bleeding
  • Decreased food and fluid intake
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Symptom management at end of life
  • Device problem (G-tubes, complex foley’s or suprapubics)
  • Decreased urine output
  • New onset edema
  • Skin and wound infections
  • Eye infections
  • Abdominal distention
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • New or increased pain
  • New falls and/or post falls
  • Dislodged Gastric tube or Routine Gastric tube replacement
  • Suprapubic Catheter replacement
  • PICC removal
