Good oral health is important for overall health. Yet, for some, regular dental care may not be affordable. Torontonians may be eligible for free dental care in Toronto Public Health dental clinics. Toronto Public Health (TPH) offers dental services to: Residents can call contact TPH at [email protected] or 416-338-7600, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to confirm eligibility. Service is available in multiple languages. For clients not eligible to be seen at TPH dental clinics, there are other options – please see the attached for additional information about low cost dental clinics and Filling the Gap Dental Outreach.

Toronto Public Health reminds parents and guardians to update student vaccinations for the new school year

As students prepare for school, Toronto Public Health (TPH) is reminding parents, guardians, school staff and students about the importance of staying up to date with vaccinations. Vaccinations help prevent the spread of serious diseases in schools. All students are required to have certain vaccinations as outlined in Ontario’s Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) unless they have a valid exemption. These include vaccines for measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis (whooping cough), meningococcal, and for students born in 2010 or later, varicella (chicken pox).
