Know Where to Go for Care in the Community

Unsure where to go for care in the community, depending on your need? This handy guide created by William Osler Health System and the Central West Ontario Health Team provides an overview of when to visit a Family Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, or Walk-In Clinic, when to visit Virtual Urgent Care, an Urgent Care Centre, or when to visit Emergency Departments. Use the QR code to check current Emergency Department and Urgent Care wait times. If you are unsure about your symptoms, go to the nearest emergency department of call 911. Whitney has previous experience working in the long-term care sector. Her passion for person-centred high-quality care led to her taking on a leadership role in Community Support Services with the Region of Peel in 2018. TPH Respiratory Vaccine Clinic for Children Under 3 Years of Age

To support early childhood immunization and reduce the burden of respiratory illness in this vulnerable population, Toronto Public Health (TPH) is launching a new Infant and Toddler Respiratory Vaccine Clinic at the Etobicoke Civic Centre, operating from October 27, 2025, to the end of March 2026. COVID-19 & Influenza Vaccines Now Available

Starting October 27th influenza and COVID-19 vaccines are now available to the general public. Initially offered to high risk populations, Toronto and Peel regions are now offering flu and COVID-19 vaccines to all individuals 6 months or older in Ontario for free, regardless of citizenship or immigration status, or Ontario Health card availability. You can receive a COVID-19 vaccine if it has been 3 months since your last dose or confirmed COVID-19 infection.
